Founded in 1968, KCS is a ministry of Kaimuki Christian Church (KCC), a non-denominational Christian church of the Restoration Movement. Two of the leading principles of this movement are an emphasis on the authority of the Bible for the Christian life and the desire for unity among the followers of Jesus Christ. Governed by the eldership of KCC, KCS offers classes from Preschool through Grade 8 during the school year, and a three-part program during the summer.
As a ministry of KCC, our mission is to bring glory to God by nurturing all children who can significantly benefit from our program by educating them to attain their God-intended potential. |

Kaimuki Christian School incorporates into its educational program biblical values and perspectives through teaching and example, curriculum, morning devotions, and weekly chapel services. We believe that solid teaching, a challenging curriculum, and a caring environment are important components of a child’s education. We want our students to be life-long learners who practice responsibility, integrity, and service to others.
After twenty-seven years of serving students from preschool through grade 6, KCS expanded to include a Middle School in 1995. In 2005, KCS began adding one class per grade level each year. In order to house our vision for the school, we have purchased six adjacent properties on our block in the past ten years. In spring 2008, we were awarded dual accreditation status by WASC and ACSI.
KCS will expand to a high school beginning in 2012-2013. For more information on this exciting development, please go to High School under the Academics tab above.
Our fine staff and diverse student body are united by a common commitment to our mission, our educational philosophy, and our strong sense of family. If our program is in harmony with your desires for your child’s education, we’d like to get acquainted.
In His, and your, service,
Mark Gallagher
